Hi Kirsten, saw the show last night and was so glad you didn't do any of the magazine shoots. Not that you couldn't but Anthea was right when she said it's not right for you. I have seen you off and on during your career and have always enjoyed your work. I believe you will get more work based on who you are.
Looks are one small part of us, you are lucky enough to have that and more.

Best Wishes for the future

I'm glad to see you ended your quest with a result that made you happy, though I found it rather heart breaking when the FHM editor, put you down like that. I would peg you miles above your presenting cohorts, not just in looks, but in talent, of which you have an astounding amount. You've made art more interesting and engaging for kids, including myself, and brought a warmth to CBBC which great enhanced SMart and conciquently the entirety of CBBC it self.

In closing, I hope, as you promised, that we will be seeing more from you in the future, and that, as I know you will, whatever you do, you do it with a smile.

Many Thanks for all you've done. Good Luck

Kirsten, you are truly one brilliant woman, funny and sexy. You shouldn't need any reassurance on this. I really loved your programme and just wanted to give you a big cuddle at several points. Sure we will see you on tv more.

Kirsten, I never bother to comment on these forums but on this occassion after watching your documentary I felt compelled to reassure you of your success.
You obviously don't have the trashy, playboy factor that the soft-porn industry are looking for and neither are you built to fit the 'Myleene Klass' sickening and self-satisfied 'perfect' image which in fact inflicts an unrealistic body image upon young women.
I am 20 and grew up with your face on TV. One of your best qualities is that you are so identifiable to the general public. Clearly, to some people, removing their clothes to further their career is an insignificant moral boundary. You were obviously not comfortable with such a decision but as you can see for the comments below, that has no bearing on your success, attractiveness and achievements (which you should quite clearly be proud of). Although I would be very happy if I had your figure, I respect you far more than the likes of Anthea Turner and Angelica Bell for keeping your clothes on. So please just earn your living in a fashion which makes you happy and maintains your dignity. That in my eyes is something to really aspire to! Well done. Keep up the good work.

Kirsten, I have watched you on the telly for many years now. I'm 23 so for me you were one of the main presenters and personalities on CBBC for my generation.
Your happy smiley face and laugh always stood out for me as it was good to come home from School and put on the telly and see you to brighten up my afternoons.
I came across your documentary on BBC 3 tonight and thought it was a nice sneaky peak into your life. It was interesting to see how other people viewed you with most seeing you as a comedy type of person rather than having sex appeal.
It did make me think “do I find Kirsten sexy?” and “would I want to see Kirsten topless or in sexy underwear?” and the answer is a YES!
I think you have a great sense of humour and the sex factor which makes a nice combination in my book. So, a cute smiley face, a great sense of humour, a great personality and your sexy... what more could a red blooded male want?
For me you are the type of person you could go down the pub with for a few drinks and a laugh, as well as having as a sexy girlfriend.
If you ever do FHM, Loaded, Nuts or similar I would buy the magazine. No offence to Angelica Bell (she's not my type) but if she can do it then your more than capable of doing it and selling plenty of copies.
I think the best way I can think of describing you is to say your the girl next door that you would not be embarrassed to introduce to your Mum :)

Just watched a recording of your programme tonight and had to post here.
You’re an intelligent, witty and an extremely sexy lady, with a cracking body. All these magazines are for kids. You’re much better than that! Don’t lower yourself to that. Please continue to be yourself, and don’t ever think you need to change, cause Kirsten your are a star. A real sexy star and we all know who you are!!! We’re all routing for you!
PS – If you do reveal, let us know, cause I think we’ll all be first out to buy... ;)

Cannot believe you are 37!

You are a babe! I've always fancied you from SMART Kirsten. I must say you looked fab in that hooters outfit, as sexy as the other girls! I wouldn't say no! ;)

I know stringfellow was saying you can't have sexy and funny but you can, although it's not good to mix with pole dancing of course! It's personality that counts in the long run.

I don't blame you for not doing the topless stuff though (although secretly hoped you would) but you have to decide what is best in the long run for yourself. Depends on your personality but if I were you I'd get behind the camera and work on producing/directing or work on sound/video production etc. Maybe set up your own company or tackle something new at university? You don't need to do the modelling work to progress that's for sure. Some girls do well as a result of exposing the flesh but (to be brutally honest) it's not something for 35+ of age girls. I don't know their ages but I would hazard a guess that the other presenters did their flesh flash stuff in their mid to late 20's fairly quick into a TV career? One exception for age is of course Kylie Minogue who always looks great but she's cultivated and exploited her hot pants image for a good few years now with a little help from her mega earnings.

If you really wanted to test the waters, you could always do some tasteful upmarket sexy photo shoots for this website and see what publicity is generated? Your website does seem somewhat slim in content given that you've got a named website.

I must admit it seems to me to be a pretty tired route to get anywhere in showbiz by taking clothes off unless you know the end result, it's a real gamble and has too much of a person's credibility at stake if you've been in the industry a while. You made the right choice.

Keep smiling and keep searching for what you want. xxx

I watched your show tonight and thought it was really good. You are such a natural on the tv and are funny and really honest. I would be surprised if you don't get lots of investigative/documentary work from this as you are so suited to it. Practise your sexy pout in front of the mirror and then do a classy, sexy photoshoot(not lads mags)and prove to Peter Stringfellow that you are both sexy and funny !! Good luck !

I just watched the show and thought it was incredible. I've watched you on children's television as I have grown up so was surprised when I heard that you were taking on this challenge and as I watched I was so proud of you for highlighting just how driven by appearance the world is.
I think we're quite alike in that we find it hard to be anything other than the funny girl. I recently attended a pole dancing class and discovered that sexy is not a quality I possess! It annoyed a bit until now. Because now I see that it doesn't matter how other people perceive you as long as you're comfortable with yourself.
Don't ever put yourself down, Kirsten, it's a far worthier thing to be admired for the talent of making people laugh (which you have!) than being recognised by your jubblies!
I wish you all the luck with your stand-up career, you're an inspiration to aspiring comics everywhere.

I THINK YOU ARE A STUNNING LOOKING LADY AND IT REALLY UPSET ME WHEN I WAS WATCHING YOUR DOCUMENTRY ON BBC3 AND YOU STARTED CRYING ABOUT YOUR MUM AND MARK. MY MOTHER WAS IN A MENTALINSTITUTION WHEN I WAS GROWING UP, AND I WAS BROUGHT UP BY MY WHITE NAN. BACK IN 1993 I INTERVIEWED ANTHEA TURNER FOR BBC LOCAL RADIO AND SHOWED HER MY SHOWREEL FOR CHILDRENS BBC AFTER A WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT WITH PHILLIPPA AND TOBY. I BECAME PHYSICALLY ILL AFTER THAT SO I COULD NOT PURSUE MY CARRER AS A CBBC PRESENTER. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET UP WITH YOU FOR A DRINK IN LONDON WHEN YOU ARE FREE. MY EMAIL IS neilelmore@yahoo.co.uk

As a 46yr old I have watched your career develop, as my children have grown up, and I think you are selling yourself short, you are smart, intelligent and absolutely gorgeous, if only I was single.
I am glad that you did not do a nude/semi nude shoot, because you do not deed to, and I think there are many people would agree with me.
Just keep that wonderful dazzling smile in the limelight. xxx

Hi Kirsten, I thought of this guy right after I posted here last night and today, rather spookily, he's written something that relates to the situation you found yourself in. He's another photographer like myself, but he spent 12 years doing stand-up before turning to photography. As I say photography-centric but when thought about, it could just as easily relate to you, me, or most any of us. You don't allow URL's in the posts and I can understand that, but search out the "Pixelated Image blog" by david Du Chemin and in particular todays post 'taking-stock'. Have a read, and of his previous stuff too, and I hope you get something from it. His words and thoughts have often inspired me and if I can add one thing ...

Ambition is not a destination, it's a path. If it was a destination then it would be an awful thing. You'd have nothing to live for once you got there. Instead, focus on the journey and what you are doing. If what you are doing in "the moment" is what you enjoy, that's all that really matters. Keep doing what you love and everything will come from that. Hope to see your stand-up one day :-)

I just had to find out where i could send you a message. I wanted to say that i was REALLY impressed with your documentary. I am John Mason (27) from Bristol. I have alot in common with you in the fact that i always wanted to be a TV presenter but never actually got the chance to. I lost my mum when i was 19 after looking after her since the age of 13. She had both legs amputated, 13 strokes and 7 heart attacks and i changed my life to look after her. I was a child actor when i was 12 in doing a national tour called Great Expectations with Darren Day, Nyree Dawn-Porter and Brian Glover and i got the bug, it was something i always wanted to do. I grew up watching you on Smart and remembered thinking when you went from CBBC to Smart - "My God, can she even draw!?" and you revealed yet another talent... Im glad that you never decided to go with the magazines and show us another of your talents because i think you know that you dont have to play the industry in order to be in it... you excel at what you do best and i think that you should look at how Tony Hart has been remembered. I have worked in the glamour industry too (i did actually know a couple of people from your documentary) and i know to the lengths girls will go to in order to be noticed (im gay so i can say that i have not actually taken advantage!!! LOL) - and its such a fickle industry to be involved with. I think that a couple of nights out with friends in some nice clubs wearing a sexy dress YOU feel comfortable in is more in order. Im sooooo not sexy!!! - Im fat and funny and just normal. I wanted to be famous, i wanted to be noticed and i went through some extreme lengths myself to try to get noticed... i was on Joan Rivers talking tosh about sex, i was on This Morning in a complete farse because i was asked to do it, i have been in loads of things i have not been happy with because i want to keep working and want to actually make a difference. I now know that i CAN make a difference by just being myself and have fun!!! - The only thing i am 100% jealous of is that you have the courage to get on stage in the comedy clubs because i can guarentee that none of your other co-workers would be a success as you are and i think if you were to hone your skills in that sector that you would dominate the scene!!! Well... im on Facebook as John Mason in the Bristol network or drop me an email if you can give me any feedback. (johnianmason@googlemail.com)

Stay happy and true to yourself because your Dad seems like mine... tollerent, protective, supportive, scared of what i will do next and above everything else... loving!
