Hi Kirsten,
The documentary was very good and offered an honest look at a career path that so many people decide to take these days...take your clothes off to get ahead.I dont have a problem with people who do that, but usually they dont have any other major talent going for them...you do. You are a great presenter, your stand up is very funny and goes without saying you are a very beautiful and sexy person without having to strip to prove it. Keep smiling, keep up the good work and I hope to see lots more of you on TV. I lost my mum in my early 20's too and that little section about that and your relationship with Mark (Speight) was very touching. Thanks for making smile through the whole documentary!! xx

Watched the show and really enjoyed it.
Personally I think you made the right decision.
Have to disagree with peter stringfellow, there is nothing sexier than a smart funny woman.
Well done and good luck with the stand up.

Hello Kirsten
I thought the documentary was really well done and you came across as a really great person. It was brave of you and to put yourself out for comment as you did. What I found really good was your ability to look at the places you were going to and break into what they were trying to do, and how then you would fit (or not) into that world.
You have a really good way with people and I would like to see you do more investigative documentary work opening up a topic as you did making use of your obvious wit.
In a way you brought the great Victoria Wood to mind with you clear ability to take in what was happening and look at it in a way that was both revealing and at times funny.
Thanks
Ash

Hi Kirsten.
Just seen your BBC3 documentary, and just thought I'd let you know that I'd love to see you do more stand up! You have a genuine talent for making people smile and a wonderfully magnetic personality! I wouldn't worry to much about trying to be like Mylene Klass if I were you, me and my hous-mates all think she takes herself way too seriously. You're down-to-earth personality is what makes you so likable, (and watchable!)
I'm really eager to see your own brand of comedy soon! As far as breaking out of kids T.V. is concerned, I personally would love to see you on some panel shows since they thrive on great comedians and they're a really popular format!
I'm sure whatever you do you'll make a big impression, and I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of you soon!
T.V. wouldn't be T.V. without you!
Best of luck,
Phil ;)

Hi Kirsten!
Your documentary showed your talents off much better than any photographs of you wearing only lip gloss and babyoil!
Peter Stringfellow appears to confuse "Sexy" with "Porn Object". It's difficult to successfully pose and pout at an unknown observer when you can see how hilarious it makes you appear! :0)
You should go and see Susan Nixon to audition for her next project.
I have seen a few years of SMART as my daughter grew through the Cbbc age group. I was very sorry about Mark Speight's loss. He always appeared to be a very nice person and you worked very well together.
If you want to emulate Myleen you should head off the australian Jungle and eat kangaroo bits! ;-)
( Only do this if you are on "I'm a a celeb'"! Otherwise it may not have the desired exposure:0)
Best of luck and I look forward to seeing LOTS more of you (On the telly!)

Hi Kirsten
For what it's worth, your decision not to get your puppies out was, in my honest opinion spot on.
Selfishly for the sake of my 4 year old girl I am glad that she has a role model that she can grow up with without finding you on the tinterweb in a few years with your norks out.
You looked belting in the posh frocks.
Crack on with the stand up and best of luck in all you do.
PS As another person has already commented it wouldn't hurt to expand the website.

Just watched the documentary too. I'm also a bit drunk, hence why I'm bothering to write this. If you're doing ok as a comedian, then surely that's better than worrying about your face on a magazine? Bill Hicks could be an example of someone better known for their art after they have passed away than in their lifetime. Would you rather be known for being like the girls in FHM or for having something to say? You came across really well in that TV show, and I hope you end up doing something you really enjoy instead of photoshoots with your boobs out. If you're that funny, then surely that's a gift. Good luck to you.
PS I would...

Caroline who? I wouldn't remember her if she ate my dog whilst wearing my nightie. Kirsten, you are truly sexy - a great figure, but more importantly not a slapper - you haven't cheapened yourself, and nor should you. You are funny, natural and REAL. THAT'S what we want more of on telly and in our mags. Personally I think you should get a stint on "Grumpy Old Women!" (I'm only 38 but it's bloody funny & I'd love to do it & have a moan), write a book about your findings, called "Smart Arse and Funny!". Do the Vagina Monologues cos you'd be brilliant in it (But don't invite your Dad! Too rudey doody by far) and go back to your stand up. In a nutshell though, do what God intended you to do, and whatever makes you feel happy, comfortable and fullfilled. You Dad knows you better than anyone, and made sense. Keep talking, and listening.
You are a sweet, genuine, and...sexy (and I'm not a Lebanon) woman, with great talent. (This documentary wasn't kids TV and it was fab.) I was in the "biz" and got out to have my family. I now write kids books for schools and am so much happier. Follow your heart matey...and BTW...you're much better than Davina too. (no disrespect, but you don't shout or wave your arms about doing bad Julie Walters impressions.)
Love & best wishes,
Ruth. 5 foot 2, overweight, also makes funny faces when trying to look sexy, but happy. xxx

hi kirsten,
i would just like to remind u that u have a brilliant career that u should be very proud of. i hope to follow in your foot prints soon, and hope to meet you one day. the respect you earn from being a funny friendly girl, that people enjoy being around, means more than that shallow admiration for a photo shopped photo. keep up the good work, thank you for being a role model, Katie kelly x

Hope it works out and love to see you doing more comedy.

You are a perfect example of why Peter Stringfellow is wrong you are very sexy and very funny at the same time, like Sarah Silverman for example.
I grew up watching SMart and i must of been 9 or 10 when you joined and i think you were probably the first woman i ever had a crush on!
You don't need to get naked to get famous just do your own thing and it will happen for you!

Isn't it freaky how many of us have leapt on the computer to leave a comment straight after seeing it tonight? It's not often I get that involved in something on TV, but by the end I was on the edge of my seat thinking "please don't do it, please don't do it, please don't do it." I think I would have been genuinley dissapointed in you if you had!
I think it would be great to have you doing regular investegative programmes like this. It reminded me a little of TV Nation when you felt that the reporters were one of us, they told it like it is and ripped the piss out of things that rightly deserved it. I did notice that the credits said "devised by Kirsten O'Brien" so I reall y hope you will be pitching more of this kind of show to the BBC.
My only criticism would be that you went way too easy on the "lads" from Front magazine! They were creepier than a young conservative.
Looking forward to your next move and as someone else has said please get your stand up dates on the site.
Cheers

Kirsten i have had the fortunate pleasure of watching your documentary and i am only too well aware of the decisions you faced firstly you look fantastic and from watching your programme you have great attributes.
Secondly in my opinion you have great potential and just because you ain't 21 any more does not mean you can't do what you want to do as i can prove to you that you can do anything you want to do.I am delighted that you did not resort to taking your clothes off as i would condiser it an abuse of yourself, your potential, your attributes and what you stand for one day your opportunity for the big time will come but there is more to life than the glamour, the glitz and the fame so do what you feel comfortable doing.
best wishes
mike

What a bold and brave documentary. I am so glad Kirsten didn't go down the tragic route of 'taking her clothes off to get ahead' career path. Althought very pretty, the reason she couldn't do it is because she is an intelligent, decent and well brought up woman. Most women who do prostitute themselves to the sex industry are not very bright or come from very damaged backgrounds.
I hope this documentary will help Kirsten's career as she came across as a bit of a female Louis Theroux and the BBC license payers could do with more people of this calibre involved in program making. There are too many bland bimbos around and if men really want them they can consult porn magazines, nobody wants them on the telly.

I came to your site to look for stand up dates... someone dropped the ball on that one. It's a shame and an irony that the show was on BBC3; the BBCs answer to Nuts magazine. I only chanced to see your mazin programme due to a slow remote control battery on my way from BBC2 to BBC4. You should definitely look into the summer festivals for comedy gigs, especially Latitude and Glastonbury! Good Luck and if you do ever srt out a mailing list then please add me ru55m@hotmail.com
